XNode's first batch of "China Market Discovery Program" in cooperation with Accelerate Germany has successfully come to an end.

Over the past month, we've supported eight high-potential German startups from the gaming, plastic recycling, SaaS, autonomous driving and Industry 4.0 sectors. Through a series of mentorship sessions, China business environment sharing, multi-channel demand release, 15 one-on-one business meetings, and the "China German Startup Night", we've provided these startups with invaluable insights into the Chinese market, supported their market validation efforts, and helped them establish meaningful collaborations and business connections within China's vibrant innovation ecosystem and vertical industry networks.

Program Achievements for Startups

#1 Meeting with target customers, exploring business opportunities

During the course of the program, XNode invited over 40 business leaders from large companies with direct collaboration potential with the accelerating German startups or their target customers and helped the German startups meet with 15 of them to explore business opportunities and gain insight into market customer requirements. At the same time, eight startups also received a great deal from the one-to-one project networking sessions during the China German Startup Night pitch event and established connections with a number of vertical industry partners.

LAIFE's takeaways:

Through one-on-one business meetings, LAIFE successfully established connections with potential partners in China's psychological stress relief app, psychotherapy clinics, hospitals and more. After the program ended, LAIFE continued to explore technical collaborations with relevant clinics.

WRS Energie's takeaways:

Through one-on-one business meetings, WRS Energie established connections with their target customer, a local automotive hardware manufacturer, and is currently exploring potential collaborations for commercial implementation.

NISAR's takeaways:

Through one-on-one business meetings and the pitch event, NISAR established connections with local venture capital and is actively promoting investment collaborations.

#2 Online pitching: dialogue with industry partners, target clients and investors

On the 30th of March, XNode together with German Accelerator presented the "China German Startup Night". The event attracted over 100 professional audiences, investors, and industry experts to participate online. Through the Startup Pitch and Q&A session and networking session, the participating startups gained in-depth industry insights and rich collaborative connections.

#3 Strong exposure on Chinese social media

During the program, XNode together with German Accelerator and a range of partners, including Plug and Play, Founders Lair, S创, V-Next, ImpactHub, Global Service Provider Program, 静安众创空间联盟, 海纳百创, CYZONE, startupgrind Shenzhen, ZebraS, MBOT, InteBridge, Yuehai Enterprise Service, Shenzhen Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Promotion Association, provided high-level market exposure for the eight German startups, reaching around 20,000 partners in China's innovation ecosystem through marketing on our media platforms and institutional communities, weand attracting several investment institutions and enterprises to initiate project connections. We believe these collaborations will provide valuable support for the startups' future development in China.

As the pandemic comes to an end, we look forward to welcoming more high-tech startups from Germany and around the world to explore the Chinese market, participate in cross-border acceleration programs and activities, and engage in technology exchanges. XNode will continue to support global innovation startups in their cross-border communication and exploration process.

In May, the next batch of the "China Market Discovery Program" will be launched. Six multi-disciplinary German startups will take the stage. Also later this year, a group of German startups will come to China for offline communication. Stay tuned for more updates!
